The elimination of intermediaries in the supply chain (disintermediation), analytic disassembly of business categories (disaggregation) and the move from physical certificates to electronic book keeping(dematerialization) are the three forces that work in the eternal business era which start up companies need to closely observe, said Rediff.com CEO Ajith Balakrishnan. He was addressing the first mentor session 2019 “Walk with the World - Strategies and Practices for Startups” of the Kannur University Business Incubation centre at Thavakkara on January 4, 2019.
The Startup Exhibition - CANNOVATION 2018 was arranged in the Library building on the same day of the Young Entrepreneurs’ Conclave 2018. It was arranged to showcase the talents of BIC inmates. For this exhibition, several products and services from various domains such as Manufacturing, Retail, Travel & Tourism, Robotics, Education and Automobile Engineering were displayed at the venue.
As a part of empowering the northern part of Kerala State, the Business Incubation Centre (BIC) of Kannur University has accelerated its activities by widening its platform apart from IT and IT enabled start ups. Besides, more attention has been given to the traditional manufacturing industries in North Kerala with special focus on Handloom, Fashion Designing, Travel & Tourism and Agro based business.
