STATUS OF ACTIVITIES IN ADOPTED VILLAGES

The Mission of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is to enable higher educational institutions to work with the people of rural India in identifying development challenges and evolving appropriate solutions for accelerating sustainable growth. It also aims to create a virtuous cycle between society and an inclusive academic system by providing knowledge and practices for emerging professions and to upgrade the capabilities of both the public and the private sectors in responding to the development needs of rural India.

Steps taken for registration to Unnat Bharat Abhiyan

  • Registration to Unnat Bharath Abhiyan was made by providing the information of the Head of the Institution and Co-ordinator with Valid e-mail id and Contact number
  • District : Wayanad
  • Villages : Thirunelly, Thondernad, Nalloornad, Panamaram, Pozhuthana

Activities undertaken

Started mobilization and awareness in the adopted villages. Preparative work regarding the household survey were executed and the sample survey was completed in the Thirunelly village. Students from the Department of Rural and Tribal Sociology of Kannur University, Mananthavady Campus was engaged for the conduct of household survey. The data collected is uploaded in the portal of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan.

To initiate and assist the panchayat to formulate Village Development Plan
