M.Sc. CHEMISTRY (MATERIAL SCIENCE)



Course Description

The M.Sc. course pattern is of Credit and Semester System consisting of four semesters including 4th semester project work. The course has designed with specialization in material science and is equivalent to the M.Sc. course in chemistry of Kannur University.

The School of Chemical Sciences is having an excellent Library with latest editions of textbooks, reference books and relevant journals in chemistry and material science. The library is providing Internet based information services and Internet facility.

The department has facilitated with all laboratory equipments needed for M.Sc. course. There are separate laboratories for carrying out organic, inorganic and physical chemistry experiments.

The School of Chemical Sciences has academic collaboration with South Indian Universities and National Research Laboratories. Eminent Professors from the Mangalore University, Cochin University of Science and Technology and University of Calicut and Scientists from NIIST, Thiruvananthapuram, Central Electrochemical Research Institute, Karaikudi, Sri Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram, and Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology, Thrissur, also handle classes on selected topics. Fourth semester M.Sc. students carry out their project works in these Institutions.
