National Seminar on Drisyakalayum Samskaravum,

The three day National seminar conducted jointly by Department of Malayalam Kannur University and Kannan Pattali memorial Kathakali trust on 2019 November 9,10,11 .The topic was Disyakalayum Samskaravum.Dr.Khadar Mangad the Honorable Vice Chancellor inaugurated the function. The presence and speech of Dr.K.G .Paulose the eminent Sanskrit Scholar and the first Vice Chancellor of Kerala Kalamandalam Deamed University was the main attraction of the seminar. In his speech stressed the importance of Kannan Pattali contributions as he was the founder of a new style Kalladi kodan in Kathakali . He captured a palace in the mind of Kathakali lovers through the Vesha 'Chuvanna Tadi'.K.Kunhiraman MLA, Syndicate members Prakashan master and V.P.P .Mustaffa participated in the function. This session presided by municipal chairman K.P.Jayarajan and the welcome speech offered by Dr.A.M . Sreedharan.vSri . Santhosh Panayal offered vote of thanks.The presentation of K B.Rajananda on the topic was Kathakali Developmental History and Tradition .Dr.P Geetha presented a paper in Women And Kathakali Performance,Kottam Vitta Kottayam slogas - Meaning & Interpretation by Dr.Lissy Mathew . Kathakali and Cinema Performance techniques by R. V.M.Divakaran .These all were the attractors of the seminar.Kaamandalam Narayanan Nambeesan , Kottakal Rajmohan and Kottakal Unnikrishnan conducted the classes .Yakshagana On Mahishasuravadham performed in the stage.In this Seminar total 64 persons participated including Dr.Desamangalam Ramakrishnan , Teachers,PG students and common public.
