Village Adoption

Adopted Athickoth village in Kanhangad Municipality in the year 2007-2008

Athickoth is one of the socially and economically backward word in Kanhangad Municipality. Department of Malayalam adopted this ward and distributed study materials for the students of the single teacher school functioning there. The PG students of the department helped the students to learn the subjects by taking classes for them. We conducted anti-drug campaign in that area to emancipate the villagers from the evils of liquor addiction. The entire village folk, including Oorumooppan, Municipal Councilor and authorities from Kannur University participated in the program.
