Contributions to Teaching:

Prior to joining the university, I worked as Assistant Professor at the Department of English, Central University of Karnataka, Asst. Professor (Ad-hoc) at Sree Ram College ofCommerce and Motilal Nehru College, Delhi University. My Ph D (The Making of ‘Ezhava’:Caste, Communities and Gender among North Malabar Thiyyas and Thiruvithamkoor Ezhavas) and M Phil (Questions of Sexuality: A Critique of Lalithambika Antherjanam’s Select Writings) was from the University of Hyderabad.

Fellowships Awarded:

  • Short-term Papiya Ghosh Memorial Fund Fellowship of CSSS, Kolkata from September 2009 to February 2010.
  • Short Term Research Fellow at Anveshi Women’s Studies Research Centre at Hyderabad for the year 2006-2007.
  • Kerala State Chalachitra Academy Fellowship for the year 2020
