Workshop

The workshop was significant as it opened up new vistas or Eastern and Western philosophies for the students and researchers. Prof. N. Natarajan explained the branches of philosophy like Existentialism, Absurd, Ontology, Pragmatism, Phenomenology, Essentialism, Nihilism and Anarchism with examples drawn from literary texts and real life as well. The researchers and students were greatly benefited as most of the modern literary works had such philosophical underpinnings . The participants were very contended on getting an opportunity to have close interactions with a senior professor. The session began at 9.30 and concluded at 4.30 with a one hour lunch interval from 1pm to 2pm.
