The workshop enlightened the participants on interdisciplinary research and its contemporary relevance in English Culture studies. The two resource persons dwelt at length on the two faces of Culture Studies : the culture studies with its pioneering political face and the culture studies with its recent face with the politics of collective emotion. Marxism, Right Wing politics , Majoritarian communal politics of Culture Studies and its different strata of reality were focussed upon in the lectures delivered by Dr. Simi Malhothra and Dr. Harold Pittel. The lectures ignited a lot of lively discussion and exchange of thoughts and ideas among the participants .
