National Webinar on “Spatialities: Culture, Power and Literature”

The Department of Studies in English, Kannur University, under the initiative of the research forum organised a one day webinar on “Spatialities: Culture, Power and Literature” on 27th November 2020 from 10. 30 am to 5.00 pm. There were around 100 registrations and the profile of the participants were diverse including BA students, MA students, M.Phil and research scholars, guest lecturers and Assistant Professors.

Dr. Kunhammad K. K, the coordinator of the Research Forum welcomed the gathering and ushered the participants into the session by problematizing the idea of real and virtual space in this era of unprecedented technological migrations. Following this, the Head of the Department, Dr. Sreebitha P.V gave the formal inaugural address and extended her best wishes to the resource persons and wished all great success to the research committee. Sini Jose, Asst Professor, Dept of English, Govt College, Peringome gave a talk on “Spatial Perception in Modern Theory”. Erfan. K, Asst Professor, Dept of English, Amal College of Arts and Science, Nilambur delivered a lecture on “Constitution of Space as a Cultural Practice”.
