Course Description

The Master of Arts in Tribal and Rural Studies is a unique programme offered by the Department of Rural and Tribal Sociology. The content of this programme is interdisciplinary in nature and examines the concept of tribe, caste and rural communities, identity issues, constitutional rights, critical examination of post-colonial historiography, development administration, economic and ecological development, urbanization and its impact, languages, gender and justice issues that require critical academic engagements.
