World Environment Day 2018 Observance at Thavakkara campus

The Department of Environmental Studies, Kannur University has observed World Environment day-2018 in association with Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE) on 05th and 06th June 2018 at Thavakkara campus of Kannur University.. The activities conducted in connection with the celebration were seminar, quiz and documentary show at Kannur University, Mangattuparamba campus by the collective efforts of students, staff and environmentalist. A lecture on Plastic and Wildlife was conducted by inviting eminent peoples in this field. A movie show related with plastic pollution was conducted in connection with the WED-2018. A programme named “Imprinting” was also conducted to ensure public participation in plastic waste management. The formal inauguration of the World Environment Day-2018 celebration was carried out by Dr. P.T. Raveendran, Hon’ble Pro-Vice Chancellor of Kannur University.  After the tea break, seminar on Beat Plastic …save wildlife was started on 11AM. Dr. P.S. Easa was the resourceperson in the seminar.
