‘Ad Astra’- is the main student activity programme under the complete supervision of students. This is a three day National Media Fest. The very first National Media Fest started in the year 2016, and since then it has been a signature programme of the department. The Media Fest is a unique programme with unique contents. It has been successfully conducted for the last three consecutive years. The programmes include of seminars, symposium, debate, script writing competition, RJ hunt, photography competition, media quiz, cultural programmes etc.The very first Ad Astra-Media Fest was inaugurated by Mr. Venkitesh Ramakrishnan, Special Correspondent, the Frontline Magazine from New Delhi. The second edition of Ad Astra programme was inaugurated by the doyen in the Malayalam journalism, Mr. Thomas Jacob, Malayala Manorama. The Third Ad Astra was inaugurated by Dr. K.V. Mohan Kumar I.A.S, Former Director of General Education, Kerala and Vayalar, award winning writer. The upcoming programme will be the fourth edition of Ad Astra-2019.
