Three day national seminar on “Traditions and Transitions of Ethical Concerns in Digital Media”

The Department of Mass Communication and Journalism organised a three day national seminar on “Traditions and Transitions of Ethical Concerns in Digital Media” on 5th – 7th February, 2019. The seminar discussed various dimensions of digital technology and ethical concern on digital media communication. The three day seminar started on 05th February 2019 at 10 am and around 150 participants, including faculties from various institutions registered for the programme. Kannur University Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. P.T.Raveendran inaugurated the seminar in the presence of statutory officers of the university. Dr. Shuaib Muhammed Haneef, HOD Dept. of Electronic Media and Mass Communication, Pondichery University delivered the key note address on the subject “Digital Data, Ethics and Critical Debates”.

Dr. Lal Mohan, Dept. of Journalism, Kerala University, Dr. P.P.Shaju, Dept. of Journalism, Mary Matha Arts and Science College, Mananthavadi, Dr. Muhammadali N.,HOD, Dept. of Journalism, Calicut University, Dr. Farncis Karakkat, Principal Don Bosco Arts and Science College, Iritty, Dr. Lakshmi Pradeep,  Assistant Professor, Farook College, Dr. Robi Agustine, Dept. of Journalism, Jain University  Bangalore, and Mr. V.H. Nishad, Dept. of Journalism, Sir Syed College, Thalipparamba, Kannur were the key speakers of various sessions in the seminar.

The three day seminar concluded on 07th February 2019.
