Campaigns on Drug Abuse and Environmental Protection

The Department of Mass Communication and Journalism conducted an extension programme during 2018-19 academic year. As part of the programme, the department selected three schools and conducted campaigns on Drug Abuse and Environmental Protection at the local schools surrounding the university campus. Brochures and posters on the subjects were circulated among school students at Kallyasseri Govt. H.S.S., Morazha Govt. H.S.S and Parassinikkadavu Govt. H.S. Kannur. Classes were organized simultaneously with the campaign with the help of experts from Health department. Around more than 700 students participated in the programme with the help of school authorities. Besides the schools, the brochures were also circulated at public places like bus waiting centers where students and parents gather.
