Department of journalism and media studies has hosted book handover ceremony which were donated by the family of prominent journalist Edathatta Narayanan to university library. The function was inaugurated by Prof Gopinath Ravindran, Vice Chancellor, Kannur University. Sri Mohandas Menon, son in law of Edathatta Narayanan and retired IPS officer was chief guest of the event. Dr. Manjula Poyil, HoD in charge of the department presided over the function.

Shiju CP, research scholar of the Department of JMS commemorated Sri Edathatta Narayanan. Priya TK, deputy librarian of Kannur University central library received the books from Mr Mohandas Menon. Muhammad Ashik, and Shibina T felicitated the event.
