museum visit

Date: 24th of July 2018

The department conducted a Museology study tour on 24th of July 2018 to the following places: Kerala Folklore Academy, Arakkal Museum &St Angelo Fort, Kannur. The expected outcome of the study tour conducted is to make the students exposed and acquainted to the places of historical importance at first and inculcate in them a sense of preserving our rich and varied Kerala heritage. The tour also has its aims to give a general framework of the paper on Museology which the students has to learn in their Third Semester. The highlight of the folklore museum visit was the Museology lecture conducted by Mr Lovelyn, the Program Officer of the Academy. He was kind enough to spend his time with our students interacting and taking lecture on Museology. We had a one hour interactive session .
