Federalism and Democracy in Indian Higher Education in the Context of Scrapping of UGC

A One Day National seminar under E.K Nayanar Chair For Parliamentary Affairs entitled Federalism and Democracy in Indian Higher Education in the Context of Scrapping of UGC was organized, on 10 October 2018, by the Department of History. Dr.Manjula Poyil, Head of the Department of History coordinated the seminar. Prof.Gopinath Ravindran, Vice Chancellor, Kannur University, presided over the function. Prof.Prabhat Patnaik, Former Planning Board Vice Chairman, Kerala, delivered the keynote address. Prof.Jandhiyala B.G.Tilak, Former Vice Chancellor, NUPEA, New Delhi, also presented a paper. A marked feature of the seminar was the debate organized among the representatives of various students' and teachers' organizations.
