Local history workshop

A local history workshop was organized by Ezhom Grama Panchayat, in association with Malabar Institute of Research & Development and Department of History, Kannur University, for the students of history of colleges under Kannur University on 7-10-2016. Dr.K.K.N.Kurup, Former Vice-Chancellor of Calicut University; Dr.P.Mohandas, Former Member, P.S.C and Dr.Ismail, Former Head of the Department of History, Govt. Arts& Science College, Calicut, delivered lectures on different aspects of local history research. Dr. Manjula Poyil, Head of the Department, gave an introductory note on the work, Gramacharithramonarumpol: Ezhom Grama Charitram, which was awarded the best work in local history by Malabar Institute of Research & Development.
