Initiative  for Departmental Extension Activities(ISR) in the CENTRE FOR MANAGEMENT STUDIES, MANGATTUPARAMBA CAMPUS

• Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR) has become an increasingly important concept and it has become part of the debate about competitiveness and sustainability for educational institutions. The academic role of Kannur University departments and Centers is to keep a bench mark for other affiliated colleges and institutions under it. If we could create a qualitatively higher standard in academic delivery, the greater objective of inclusiveness can be achieved.
  
• The social extension program of CMS-Mangattuparamba wishes to work in this direction in the society to create awareness among the graduate students especially with regard to the post graduate programme in Management offered by university department and centers.
  
• Objectives
  
• 1. To create awareness among undergraduate degree students under Kannur University about the Management programmes in post graduation offered by the department and centers.
  
• 2. To stop the exploitation of students in higher education by certain institutions who charge higher fees.
  
• 3. To give them counseling about the entrance examination (KMAT Kerala) for MBA admission.
  
• 4. To create skilled manpower in management for the district in the wake of Kannur International airport
  
• Project execution
  
• 1. Selected faculty members (internal & external) will handle classes to create awareness.
  
• 2. To cover all affiliated degree colleges under Kannur University.
  

Period of ISR :- Over a period of three weeks
